FLIP FLOPS CAUSE MORE HEALTH PROBLEMS THAN HIGH HEELS:
--According to a study from Auburn University, wearing flip flops for a prolonged period of time can lead to long-term injuries in your feet, legs, hips and back.
--Researchers found that flip flop-users change the way they walk by taking shorter strides, curling their toes to keep the flip flop attached to their foot, and putting more pressure on their heels.
--There's also less cushioning and support than regular shoes and that results in more pressure on your joints. That can cause aches and pains, fractures, sprains, and injuries from falling.
--Some podiatrists even say that flip flops are responsible for more health problems than high heels.
--So instead of wearing flip flops to an all day trip to the mall, try to wear them for only short periods of time.
